Questions about supported files, quotas, privacy and audio downloads.
Is Text to Speech Studio free?
Yes, free email-verified accounts can generate audio within the current limits of 2,000 characters per request and 6,000 characters per day. No payment method is requested.
What documents can I convert?
You can import PDF, TXT, DOCX, DOC, ODT, RTF, Markdown, HTML, EPUB and PPTX files. Review the extracted text before synthesis.
Can I convert a scanned PDF?
Yes, supported image-only PDF pages can use OCR. PDF uploads are limited to 15 MB and 400 pages; OCR runs on no more than 30 pages and has a time limit.
Can I read a webpage without its menus?
The importer attempts to isolate the main article from public HTML. Some protected, script-rendered or complex sites will not work.
Which audio formats are available?
MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC and OPUS. Browser playback varies by format, but completed recordings can be downloaded.
How long are audio files available?
Completed recordings are kept temporarily on the server and are normally removed after about two hours. Download anything you want to keep.
Does the service accept confidential documents?
Do not upload patient-identifying, confidential or sensitive personal data. Text submitted for speech generation is sent to a third-party speech service.
Are paid subscriptions, crypto donations or ads active?
No. Automatic subscriptions, payment checkout, SOL donation acceptance and advertising are not part of this release.
