Terms of Service
These are draft terms for a free independent text-to-speech service. They need operator identification and legal review before being designated final.
1. Service and eligibility
Text to Speech Studio provides free tools for extracting and editing text and producing audio. Creating an account may require a verified email address. You are responsible for access to your account and for using the service in compliance with applicable law.
2. Usage limits
For the current Free tier, the application enforces 2,000 characters per speech request and 6,000 characters per day. Service limits or availability may change if necessary for technical or operational reasons. The separate manually administered Paid role is not an automatic paid subscription, and no payment checkout is currently offered.
3. Your content and copyright
Only submit text and files you have the right to use and transform. Importing publicly accessible webpage content does not transfer copyright or grant rights to redistribute it. You are responsible for obtaining any permission needed for the content you submit or any audio you distribute.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to violate the law or third-party rights, submit patient-identifying or other sensitive information, attempt unauthorized network access, overload the service, or impersonate others using generated audio. Automated abuse or attempts to evade rate limits are not permitted.
5. Third-party dependencies
Speech synthesis uses a third-party Edge Read Aloud service. Its availability and functionality may change without notice. Text sent for synthesis is processed through that external service. This application is not affiliated with Microsoft.
6. Generated audio
Audio is made available temporarily for playback or download. Download recordings you wish to retain; completed audio is ordinarily removed after approximately two hours or upon application restart. We do not promise uninterrupted service or indefinite storage.
7. Accounts, suspension and termination
Accounts may be restricted to address abuse, security risks, or legal requirements. For account privacy requests, use the Contact page. The operator must define further account termination and complaint procedures before these terms are finalized.
8. Payment, donations and advertising
The current service does not process paid subscriptions, cryptocurrency contributions or advertising placements. Any later implementation will require updated terms and disclosures; donations will not provide extra usage rights unless an explicitly lawful paid product is separately established.
9. Responsibility and legal review
Any allocation of legal responsibility, governing law, dispute resolution or consumer rights must be reviewed for the operator’s jurisdiction and target countries before these terms are published as final.
