This notice describes the processing identifiable in the application source code. Operator-specific legal obligations, providers, hosting location and retention practices require confirmation before publication as an approved policy.

2. Account and authentication data

When you register, the application processes your name, email address and a password-derived hash. It stores account verification, password reset and session records. Session identifiers are placed in a secure, HTTP-only cookie. Choosing “Remember me” makes the browser cookie persistent for up to seven days; session records are also subject to server-side expiration.

3. Usage and operational records

The system records character counts, job status, account roles, import types, and numerical document/OCR statistics for quota enforcement and administrative reporting. These numerical records do not themselves store the imported document text or webpage HTML. Server and hosting access logs and backups may retain additional operational information; their handling must be verified by the operator.

4. Documents and webpages

PDF and document uploads are temporarily assembled in application memory for text extraction. Public webpage imports retrieve webpage content in order to extract an article. Uploading or extracting text does not by itself consume the speech quota. Review text before starting speech generation and avoid submitting personal or confidential documents.

5. Third-party speech processing

When speech generation is requested, the text is sent to a third-party Edge Read Aloud speech service. That provider may process the submitted text outside the country in which you reside. The service is independent from Microsoft and does not control the provider’s retention or processing practices. Do not submit patient-identifying or other sensitive information.

6. Audio and temporary files

Generated audio is held temporarily for download and is ordinarily removed about two hours after completion or during application restart. Temporary job files and backup copies may be subject to separate operational retention. Download audio you wish to keep.

7. Account emails

Verification and password-reset messages are sent via the configured SMTP email service. Your email address is used to deliver those messages and operate your account.

8. Cookies and advertising

The current application uses essential session cookies and may store a local preference recording that you have dismissed its cookie notice. It does not presently load AdSense advertising scripts, nonessential analytics tags, or cryptocurrency payment integrations. If advertising is enabled later, this notice and the consent mechanism must be updated first. See the Cookie Policy.

9. Requests and applicable rights

You may contact the operator to ask about access, correction or deletion of account information. Applicable rights, legal bases, international transfers and retention duties depend on law and on processing facts that must be confirmed by the operator before this document is treated as final.

10. Updates
