Convert documents to speech
Upload Word, text, presentations and ebooks.
You can import text from several everyday document types without having to paste each paragraph yourself.
Supported document extensions
DOCX, DOC, ODT, RTF, TXT, MD, HTML, HTM, EPUB and PPTX. PDF files use the separate PDF option.
How to import
- Open Studio.
- Choose Open TXT for a basic text file or Open Document for a supported non-PDF format.
- Wait for the file to upload and for text extraction to finish.
- Read the extracted text and correct line breaks, headings or unwanted text.
- Select your voice and output format, then generate speech.
What about long books?
The current free per-request limit is 2,000 characters. Larger documents are not silently shortened; select or paste a shorter excerpt that you have permission to convert.
