◉Text to Speech Studio

PDF & OCR

Convert PDF to audio

Extract text from PDF files, including scanned pages when OCR is available.

Open an ordinary text PDF or an image-based scanned PDF. The extracted text appears in the editable Studio text box before you generate speech.

Import a PDF

  1. Sign in and open Studio.
  2. Select your intended speech language first; this is also used to choose OCR language when OCR is needed.
  3. Select Open PDF and choose a local PDF file.
  4. Watch the upload progress. Text extraction or OCR may show a moving indicator without an estimated percentage.
  5. Review and correct the extracted text in the editor before generating speech.

When will OCR run?

Pages with selectable text are read directly. Pages without usable text may be rendered and processed with Tesseract OCR. Supported OCR languages include English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic.

Why might a PDF fail?

A scanned page may be blurry, skewed, low-contrast or use a language not covered by OCR. Try a better scan or copy the needed text into the editor. The extracted result must also fit your character limit; it will not be silently shortened.
